Celebrate Nabila's 30th birthday and make a lasting impact! Join us on September 14th as we come together to honor her legacy. Nabila's family will match $30,000, and a generous donor will double that amount, resulting in a remarkable $60,000 contribution to the Nabila Walji Legacy Endowment fund.
The power of endowment will provide financial stability, sustainable funding, flexibility, independence, and the opportunity to create a lasting impact. It will allow Nabila Walji Foundation to focus in its mission and make a meaningful difference in the respective fields ,over the long term.
Our dear Nabila Walji (1993-2022) passed away unexpectedly at Oxford University, UK at the age of just 28.
Her love for humanity was deep, and her passion towards equity, social justice, and supporting vulnerable communities was unrelenting.
This foundation was created as a living expression of those passions.
Also, every dollar you contribute is accounted for under CRA regulations held in "donor advised fund" with CF, and goes directly to the Nabila Walji Foundation. The Walji family covers the administration and recovery cost of the funds.

Tribute to Mark Nabila's First Heavenly Birthday
April 2023 marked one year since our beloved Nabila passed away. There has not been a single moment of each day that has passed where we haven’t missed her presence, her hugs, her giggle – really, everything about her.
While the physical loss has been tremendous, we have felt Nabila’s spirit guide us every day. We continue to sense her all around us - in a chirping bird, a twinkling bright star, and of course, a brilliant sunset.
We have found strength in hearing how Nabila touched so many people around the world, friends, colleagues, family, but also shopkeepers, restaurant owners, and other strangers with whom she crossed paths.
If you had told us that we would survive an entire year without her, we never would have believed you. This year has been one of tremendous growth in every sense. We have learned how to find lightness amongst so much dark. It has shown us that, with faith, the unthinkable becomes survivable. It has shown us our own strength, resilience, and courage. It has brought us closer together as a family and community.
For that, we are eternally grateful.
Perhaps this brings us to the greatest blessing of all. This year, we rallied together with our newfound net of support, and in the memory of our Nabila, built this Foundation that will be a vehicle for good in the world – the way Nabila inspired us all to be.
